The Long beach is situated at the far southern end of Vilanova i la Geltrù and has an area of around 10 hectares. It is part of an old marshland and dune area found in the river Foix delta and is known locally as “El Prat”.
This natural space is one of the last remains of the old river delta and along with the Muntanyans de Torredembarra beach, the only coastal area like this to be found between the Ebre and the Llobregat deltas.
This beach area is currently under renovation and restoration.
Please respect the flora and fauna in this area. All the beach area is a nesting zone for birds. For this reason dogs are forbidden on the beach area all year round. We would also request those walking on the beach to keep to the water's edge and avoid the dune areas. Camping and fires are not allowed.
It is 1.100 m long, 45 m wide and a sandy area of som 46,000 m².
In the north of the beach many of the users of Aiguadolç are nudist bathers.
On the beach itself there are no real public services although these can be found nearby at the Ibersol beach.
